Confession #2

Confession #2: I like drama.

I'll stand there and tell you that I hate it until I'm blue in the face.
But it's mostly a lie. Or a stretch. However you want to think of it.

The fact is: drama is exciting. When you go to the movies, you don't go to watch a boring film where nothing happens. You go to watch mess up their lives and subsequently fix their mistakes in a clean-cut two hour time slot. You go for the drama.

So I guess you could say that I go out in public to watch various drama unfold. Most of the time, I like to be the distant observer instead of the active participant in any good scene. (But then again, who doesn't?)

But there are times that I like to weedle myself into situations. Example: college parties.
Let's face it: college parties are absolutely riddled with crazy drama. I like to think of the ultimate drama formula as: alcohol + raging hormones = insanity. And what better place to watch the formula unfold than at a college party?

There are so many stories I could tell: chasing down friends so they don't make bad decisions; drunken heart-to-heart conversations with strangers; dancing on your best friend like a lesbian to keep the creepers at bay; early morning hangovers. So much drama, so little time. But each is a good memory in its own right. Each has made me closer to the ones I love, who laugh with me when we look back on these crazy nights. On these crazy dramas.

I love the drama. That probably won't ever change.
And I guarantee you do too, whether you're willing to admit it or not.
